Additional Music and Dance Performances

The Cottey College departments of music and dance have upcoming performances that are free of charge and open to the public. Both performances will be held in the Auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts.

On Sunday, April 30, at 3 p.m., the Cottey College Jazz Ensemble and Cottey College Wind Ensemble will perform under the direction of Dr. Jackie Lordo and Prof. Gary Johnson. The Wind Ensemble performance will include “Albanian Dance” by Shelley Hanson, “Impresario Overture” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arr. Andrew Glover, and more. The Jazz Ensemble will feature solos by Cottey College students Darby Fowler, McKayla Hines, and Chloe Bietsch.

Cottey College’s dance department is also pleased to present its semi-annual Informal Dance Concert on Tuesday, May 2, at 8 p.m. This informal event will feature performances by students in all of the Cottey dance classes.

The Center for the Arts is on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
