Picnic Featuring Raquel Lily on August 25
Cottey College invites the public to attend the opening-of-school picnic and concert featuring Raquel Lily on Friday, August 25, at 5:30 p.m. in Raney Dining Room.
Raquel Lily is a singer/songwriter based in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born in the Philippines, grew up in New York, moved to Miami, and graduated college in California before finding her home in the South. Her music can be described as indie-pop/rock with a jazz influence. Her clear, powerful voice perfectly complements her unique style and sound.
Tickets for the meal are $7 and are available at the door; the performance is free.
Raney Dining Room is in the lower level of Robertson Hall on the southeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri. Parking is available in the lot immediately south of Robertson which is accessible off of Tower Street.
