Archaeological Clay Source Materials:
Their Chemical, Mineralogical, and Physical Characteristics

The methodolgies utilized in earth science, chemistry, and soil science are commonly used to advance archaeological research. The goal of this symposium is to bring together scientists from a variety of fields to share their knowledge of geoarchaeology, especially, though not exclusively, how clays have contributed to that undertsanding.
