VICE PRESIDENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT
Cottey College invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The College seeks a proven major gifts fundraiser who has excellent strategic, leadership, and communication skills.
Now in its 127th year, Cottey College is a liberal arts college for women which awards associate and selected baccalaureate degrees. The College is strong financially with an endowment approaching $100 million, and has no debt and no deferred maintenance on its beautiful facilities and campus.
The A Defining Moment Campaign is on track to achieve its $35 million goal in 2013. Its fundraising efforts are supported by a phenomenal national volunteer network. The Campaign goals support Cottey's academic strengths in the fine arts, its commitment to preparing women leaders, and its success in transforming its students into strong and competent learners.
Under the general direction of the President, the vice president serves as a senior administrator on campus, oversees a staff of 14, and is a member of the President's Council.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF FRENCH
Cottey College, a non-sectarian liberal arts college for women, is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of French, starting August 2012. Area of specialization open. Ph.D. in French and competence to teach elementary Spanish are required. Ability in an additional language and/or to contribute to Women's Studies, Film Studies, Women's Leadership, or Hispanic Culture program a plus. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in college teaching. TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN ART
Cottey College, a non-sectarian liberal arts college for women, is seeking to fill a tenure-track position in art beginning Fall 2012. Required qualifications: MFA or Ph.D. in art, the ability to teach Ceramics, 2D and 3D Design, Art Appreciation and Art History, ability to work in a variety of media. The candidate should be professionally active with a substantial exhibition record and demonstrate technical and conceptual ability in her/his own work. Preferred qualifications: post-graduate teaching experience, knowledge of glaze-mixing, kiln-firing (electric and raku), throwing, and sculptural techniques, familiarity with digital art, and conceptual sensitivity towards women's issues.
