History

Cottey College, a private liberal arts college for women, seeks a tenure-track Western Civilization assistant professor, specialization open, to begin August 2017. The successful candidate will also teach an introduction to the liberal arts course and oversee capstone projects of liberal arts majors. History courses required are both halves of the western civilization sequence. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach specialty courses in her/his field. An ability to teach history courses on women, the Middle East, and/or Africa preferred. The position requires a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level; teaching load is four courses per semester. A Ph.D. is preferred, but ABDs will be considered.

Head Tennis Coach

Cottey College is seeking a head tennis coach for its inaugural season of competition during the 2017-2018 school year. The 2016-2017 school year will be spent recruiting and organizing the program to begin competition. This job is part time with the possibility of being full time. Full time status would be dependent on the successful candidates experience and would be combined with another job on campus. Library Assistant

Cottey College is seeking a half-time library assistant beginning January 2017. High school diploma or GED required. Two years previous library experience or general office experience. Some college course credits preferred. Supervisory experience a plus. Good verbal/written communication skills, ability to work with the public, and computer skills a must.
