Award-winning vocal quartet Women of the World is set to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, in the Auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts.
Four women from four corners of the globe comprise the award-winning vocal quartet Women of the World. The 2014 Harmony Sweepstakes National Champions have collaborated with industry legends Bobby McFerrin and African icon Angelique Kidjo. With repertoire honoring numerous global folk traditions (in 29 languages!), their journey and mission to explore and celebrate varied cultural ideologies of women throughout the world has featured performances at Carnegie Hall, Blue Note Jazz, and Boston Symphony Hall.
Tickets for Women of the World are $7 for adults and $5 for those under age 18 or over age 62. Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the show.
The Center for the Arts is on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
