What Can I Do With A Major In Philosophy?

Philosophy is the study of the fundamental questions about the nature of being, knowledge, right and wrong, and our place in the physical world. Students explore the key philosophical texts and traditions, and examine the nature of argument and reasoning. Students also consider the ways philosophy affects other fields of inquiry, such as physics, religion, and computer science. Philosophy majors develop many career related skills that can be used in a variety of occupations to include business, non-profit organizations and government.
