Grants

Federal Pell Grant: need-based grant awarded to students who qualify according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For 2013-14, the maximum amount was $5,645.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG): need-based grant awarded to students with exceptional financial need according to the FAFSA. For 2013-14, the maximum amount was $500.

Cottey Grant: need-based grant awarded based on FAFSA results.  The money to fund this comes from Cottey's endowment and other gifts to the college.

State Grants: Missouri residents who file FAFSA by April 1 and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $12,000 or less may qualify for the Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program.  For 2013-14, the maximum amount was $2,000.

International Cottey Grant: need-based grant awarded to students who are citizens of foreign countries. Amounts vary based on need. The Application for Financial Aid for International Students and the Certification of Finances form must be submitted.
