Three Comets Named to All-Region Teams

Following the Region XVI postseason volleyball tournament, the Cottey College Comets learned that three of their players were named to all-region teams. Second-year players Kymee Bair and Alexis Self were named to the Region XVI First Team and second-year player Kristina Coverdell was named to the Region XVI Second Team.

"These three players have been key contributors for us the last two years," said head coach Marla Kannady Foreman. "I'm so pleased to see their hard work recognized and honored by the other coaches in our region."

In the postseason tournament, the Comets defeated St. Louis Community College in three games in the opening round, but lost the next day in the semifinals to the number one ranked East Central College.  The scores for the St. Louis match were 25-19, 25-22, and 25-16. Against East Central, the scores were a respectable17-25, 20-25, and 20-25.

The Comets finished the season with an overall record of 10-11.
