COTTEY HOSTS TWO MUSIC CONCERTS, APRIL 25 & 27

The Cottey College Department of Music will host two concerts at the end of April. On Friday, April 25, the Cottey College Chamber Singers will perform at 8 p.m. in the Missouri Recital Hall. On Sunday, April 27, an instrumental music concert will be held at 3 p.m. in the Auditorium. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

The spring choir concert on Friday evening will be under the direction of Theresa Forrester Spencer. The music featured will include a version of Lorde’s Royals as well as an interesting piece titled Grandma’s Journey which depicts an old woman reminiscing about her life.  Several guest soloists will also be featured.

On Sunday, the Cottey College Jazz Ensemble and the Cottey College Wind Ensemble will perform under the direction of William A. Martin.

The Auditorium and the Recital Hall are both in the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
