FACULTY

English
Cottey College, a leading two-year private liberal arts college for women, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for a full-time,
tenure track faculty position in Composition/Rhetoric, starting August 2010. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in college
teaching. Teaching load typically includes three courses in composition and one elective each semester. A doctorate in English is required by the
time of appointment. The individual selected for this position will join the English department, which is associated with the Cottey Institute for
Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As part of the Institute, the English program exists synergistically with programs in environmental
studies and international relations and business and is developing a new baccalaureate program with an emphasis in women writers. Thus, an ability
to teach in a related area such as women's studies, multi-ethnic literatures, or early British literature is also desirable. Rank and salary are

Environmental Studies
Cottey College, a leading two-year private liberal arts college for women, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for a full-time,
tenure-track faculty position in Environmental Studies, starting August 2010. The successful candidate will have a doctorate degree and a minimum
of three years teaching experience at a four-year liberal arts college with demonstrated excellence in college teaching. The person selected for
this position will be instrumental in developing and leading a new baccalaureate program in environmental studies housed in the Cottey Institute
for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As part of the Institute, the environmental studies program exists synergistically with programs
in international relations and business and English (women writers). We are looking for an individual who has an advanced degree in an area such
as resource management, urban planning, public policy, or other field related to the mission of the institute, and an undergraduate degree in a
physical science or environmental science. Additional desired qualifications include the ability to speak a second language and experience with
study abroad programs. Rank (at the Assistant or Associate level) and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Further

International Relations

Cottey Institute for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As part of the Institute, the international relations and business program

International Relations with a possible emphasis in environment, women's studies, banking, or other field related to the mission of the institute.

relevant experience will be considered.) The individuals selected for these positions will be instrumental in developing and leading a new
baccalaureate program in international relations and business housed in the Cottey Institute for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As
part of the Institute, the international relations and business program exists synergistically with programs in environmental studies and English
(women writers). We are looking for individuals who are generalists in business with an emphasis in management, finance, and/or marketing and are
qualified to teach courses with a strong international emphasis. Additional desired qualifications include the ability to speak a second language
and experience with study abroad programs. Rank (at the Assistant or Associate level) and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Coordinator of Alumnae Relations
Cottey College seeks a coordinator of alumnae relations who enjoys working as part of a dedicated development team. The coordinator is responsible for creating and sustaining long-term, relevant relationships with Cottey alumnae and other friends of the College; fundraising for the comprehensive campaign; managing volunteers; planning and directing activities on and off campus; and maintaining communications and records related to alumnae.
Position will require some travel; excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication and public speaking skills; and event planning experience. A minimum of two years of recent work in alumnae relations and/or development is preferred. Strong computer skills in the areas database software, web content management, word processing, and spreadsheets are essential. Invaluable attributes for the successful candidate include confidence, tact, diplomacy, discretion, being a team player, and a sense of humor. A bachelor’s degree (or higher) and a valid driver’s license are required.
