FACULTY
There are five faculty positions open at this time.
English
Cottey College, a leading two-year private liberal arts college for women, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for a full-time,
tenure track faculty position in Composition/Rhetoric, starting August 2010. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in college
teaching. Teaching load typically includes three courses in composition and one elective each semester. A doctorate in English is required by the
time of appointment. The individual selected for this position will join the English department, which is associated with the Cottey Institute for
Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As part of the Institute, the English program exists synergistically with programs in environmental
studies and international relations and business and is developing a new baccalaureate program with an emphasis in women writers. Thus, an ability
to teach in a related area such as women's studies, multi-ethnic literatures, or early British literature is also desirable. Rank and salary are

Environmental Studies
Cottey College, a leading two-year private liberal arts college for women, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for a full-time,
tenure-track faculty position in Environmental Studies, starting August 2010. The successful candidate will have a doctorate degree and a minimum
of three years teaching experience at a four-year liberal arts college with demonstrated excellence in college teaching. The person selected for
this position will be instrumental in developing and leading a new baccalaureate program in environmental studies housed in the Cottey Institute
for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As part of the Institute, the environmental studies program exists synergistically with programs
in international relations and business and English (women writers). We are looking for an individual who has an advanced degree in an area such
as resource management, urban planning, public policy, or other field related to the mission of the institute, and an undergraduate degree in a
physical science or environmental science. Additional desired qualifications include the ability to speak a second language and experience with
study abroad programs. Rank (at the Assistant or Associate level) and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Further

baccalaureate program in international relations and business housed in the Cottey Institute for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. As
part of the Institute, the international relations and business program exists synergistically with programs in environmental studies and English
(women writers). We are looking for individuals who are generalists in business with an emphasis in management, finance, and/or marketing and are
qualified to teach courses with a strong international emphasis. Additional desired qualifications include the ability to speak a second language

ADMINISTRATIVE
There are three administrative positions open at this time.
Webmaster
Cottey College is seeking a webmaster. This is a full-time position that will manage all aspects of the Cottey College Web site. Position requires
a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major course work in an information technology field, or equivalent
combination of education and experience in related field utilizing state-of-the-art technology, and two year's work experience monitoring and analyzing
Web logs.
Applicants should demonstrate ease with dynamic Web page generation and data retrieval, show fluency in HTML, Java, JavaScript, Active X, vbscript,
asp.net, and multimedia tools like Flash. Familiarity with SQL and database concepts is desirable, along with a knowledge of TCP/IP-based protocols and
network architectures. Experience with Photoshop is also desirable.

Coordinator of Alumnae Relations
Cottey College seeks a Coordinator of Alumnae Relations. Duties of the coordinator include, but are not limited to, planning and directing alumnae
activities on and off campus; fundraising; and maintaining communications and records related to alumnae.
Position requires travel; excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication and public speaking skills; and event planning. Strong computer
skills and experience with word processing, spreadsheets, database software, and web content management preferred. Team player, tact, diplomacy,
discretion, and a sense of humor are invaluable attributes. Bachelor's degree and valid driver's license required. Two years previous work experience

Cottey College is seeking a senior admission representative. Candidates must be enthusiastic and good communicators with a strong belief in the
value of a women's college. Responsibilities focus on recruitment of prospective students. Candidates must possess excellent written, interpersonal
and oral communication skills, event-planning capabilities, enjoy travel, and have a sense of humor. Strong computer skills and experience with
word-processing, spreadsheet and database software required. Position requires a bachelor's degree. Previous work experience in admission is
