COTTEY OPENING OF SCHOOL PICNIC AUGUST 29

Steve Means

Celebrate the beginning of another year at Cottey College with the annual fall picnic and concert at B.I.L. Hill. A picnic dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m. and a concert with singer-songwriter Steve Means will follow.

Touted by colleges as the next John Mayer, Steve Means combines his signature vocals with smooth grooves and powerful, open lyrics to deliver his unique acoustic-driven (with real-time track looping) stage show. His debut album, Rescue Me, has influences ranging from Dave Matthews to Stevie Wonder and embodies Means' irresistible vocals, sweet grooves, and lyrical hook that satisfy even the most discriminating listener.

The cost for the meal is $6 per person, but the concert is free. In case of inclement weather, the picnic and concert will be moved to Raney Dining Room in the lower level of Robertson Hall.

B.I.L. Hill is located eight blocks south of campus on College Street.
