PIANIST GEORGE WINSTON PERFORMS AT COTTEY OCT. 23
Renown pianist George Winston will perform at Cottey College on Friday, October 23, at 8 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts.
In concert, Winston will be performing songs from his latest CD, Gulf Coast Blues and Impressions-A Hurricane Relief Benefit, as well as selections from his seasonal favorites Autumn, December, Winter Into Spring, and Summer, as well his Forest and Plains recordings, played in his melodic folk piano style. He also plays some of Vincent Guaraldi's Peanuts pieces, as well as New Orleans R & B piano, stride piano, and more. Please join us in support of the local food bank by bringing a donation of canned food items to the concert.
Tickets for George Winston are $8 for adults and $6 for those under age 18 or over age 62. Tickets may be reserved by calling the Cottey Ticket Office at 417-667-8181, ext. 2186.
The Center for the Arts is on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
