Associated Cottey College Artists
The Associated Cottey College Artists (ACCA) members explore and apply creativity to campus projects. Student art sales by ACCA members support art scholarships, supplies for club activities and field trips. The club sponsors off-campus art workshops and trips. ACCA, Greek for "she who creates," welcomes all artistic students as well as those who appreciate art.
The Merry Ann DeVaney Sauls Academic Writing Contest
The Merry Ann DeVaney Sauls Academic Writing Contest was developed to enhance the pretige of academic writing across the disciplines at Cottey.
The Founder's Day Cover Contest
The Founders Day Cover Contest was conceived to give students a chance to design for actual publication at Cottey. All Cottey students are invited to submit drawings or digital files to the contest. The winner will have their art published on the cover of the brochure and will receive $50.00 cash.
Scholarships
To apply for an art scholarship the applicant should submit a portfolio of about ten to twenty pieces which represent her best and most recent artwork. This can be in any format including digital as long as the work is clearly represented in visual form. Include a description of your projects with your work.
These might be painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, or computer-generated imagery. The portfolio should also include drawings done from observation. The preferred method of reviewing your work: photographs or CD.

On-Campus performances and exhibits
Students attending Cottey have the opportunity to attend approximately thirty performances each academic year. This includes performances by our music, theater and dance students, as well as, guest speakers and performers contracted by the college as part of our Cottey Lecturers and Artists Super Series. The Conway Student Art Gallery, housed in the Rubie Burton Academic Center, exhibits student art work throughout the year. The P.E.O. Foundation Art Gallery, housed in the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts, is used for special exhibits, traveling shows, and faculty exhibitions
Off-Campus performances and exhibits
Opportunities to attend gallery openings or exhibits are arranged by the art department. Travel expenses are paid for by the College.
Work-Study
Two work-study positions are available. Duties include: secretarial and research assignments, helping with exhibitions in student art gallery, and studio maintenance.
