Dr. Don Perkins
Dr. Don Perkins, professor of English, teaches composition, literature and supervises the campus writing center. He is co-sponsor of the English honor society and chairs the college's Rank and Tenure Committee.
In his supervisory position of the Cottey College Writing Center, Dr. Perkins trains student consultants, who assist their peers with academic writing across the disciplines, offering assistance in all writing stages from development to editing and revision. from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Prior to coming to Cottey, he taught writing at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Milwaukee Area Technical College. He was also the assistant
coordinator of composition at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he coordinated a pilot
portfolio group-graded proficiency composition course and trained, observed and evaluated new
