Dr. Judy Rogers, President of Cottey College
Dr. Judy Rogers, president of Cottey College, announced at the International Convention of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in San Diego, California, the $35 million comprehensive campaign for Cottey College. A Defining Moment: The Campaign for Cottey College is the largest campaign in the 125 history of the College.
"A Defining Moment: The Campaign for Cottey College will allow more women to realize their dreams and find their voices," Dr. Rogers stated. "With gifts large and small from the thousands of women in the P.E.O. Sisterhood, our alumnae, and other friends of women's education, more young women will benefit from this extraordinary experience - one that will shape their lives and ours," added Dr. Rogers.
In 2005, a planning committee of faculty, staff and students worked together to envision the future of the College and chart a course for both short-term and long-term success. This collaborative effort resulted in two important documents, both of which are subtitled Building A Model for Women's Education: the Cottey College Strategic Plan and the Cottey College Master Plan. The master plans define the specific actions required to realize the college's vision to become a model liberal arts college for women's education.
The campaign will achieve five strategic goals and the first phase of the Campus Master Plan. More importantly, the campaign will make a Cottey education available to more young women from across the country and around the world.
The campaign priorities include:
- Scholarship Endowment
- Faculty Chairs
- Fine Arts Building
- Library Endowment
- Unrestricted Funding
"This is an exciting time for the College. Through this campaign, we will shape the future and create another defining moment in the history of Cottey. I invite you to join us in this campaign. It could be your defining moment," Dr. Rogers concluded.
