Robertson Hall Staff
Hall Director
Emily Fincher
Hi! My name is Emily Fincher and I am the hall director of Robertson Hall. This will be my first year as a hall director at Cottey
and I'm looking forward to having a great year.
I'm a recent graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia, though I am originally from West Virginia. I'll read almost
any book I can get a hold of, and when I'm not reading I'm usually playing around with my odd assortment of instruments (ukulele, anyone?),
or hoping to find that next great movie. I love having visitors, so whenever you're around feel free to drop on by. I look forward to seeing
you all in the fall!

Sydney Lopez
HEY! I'm Sydney Lopez from Euless, Texas, and I will be living in Dakota Suite on the first floor in Robertson Hall!! I am majoring in fashion
design, but I am crazy about art in general. Besides fashion I love to listen to music, Photoshop until I drop, switch my shoes at least three times a day,
laugh until I can no longer breathe, play with my dogs, drive around and see where I end up, and most of all hang out with my family and friends. As a
freshman I was the vice president of ACCA (Associated Cottey College Artists), the historian for Angels for Pets, and I worked for Cottey's hilarious and
amazing volleyball coach. I'm not going to lie, it is hard to leave home, but at Cottey your suite and friends are really like your second family. In coming
to Cottey I was incredibly nervous about getting along with girls; what can I say, they're not my specialty. But at Cottey the girls are truly different! I
have made life long friends here and you will too! I cannot wait to meet all of you freshwomen, and feel free to Facebook me or e-mail me at
Applepanic@aol.com if you have any questions. I'm glad you chose Cottey!

Sandy Anderson
Hey Cottey ladies! I'm Sandy Anderson, from Shoreview, Minnesota, right outside of the Twin Cities. I'm going to be living in
Florida Suite, on the second floor of Robertson Hall. In my spare time I love to unwind by reading, listening to music, watching TV shows
and movies. I love Harry Potter books, as well as Mercy Thompson and Sookie Stackhouse novels. Some of my favorite TV shows include
Mythbusters, Ghost Hunters, Supernatural, The Office, Chuck, and Murder, She Wrote. Movies I could watch over and over again are
National Treasure, Little Miss Sunshine, Back to the Future, Stardust, The Mummy, and Saved!.
I also love outdoor activities like swimming, canoeing, bonfires, and water fights; in the winters back in Minnesota I love to ice skate and
go sledding. This past year at Cottey I was involved in Students Against a Vanishing Environment (SAVE) and played Muggle Quidditch when
time allowed for it. There are a lot of great organizations to get involved in here, I only wish I had enough time for all of them!
I remember last summer being overwhelmed by being away from my family and friends from high school, but it turned out great: I met some of
my best friends here, was introduced to new outlooks on life, and gained a new sense of independence. I'm excited to meet you and help you
transition into life at Cottey.

Stephanie Vanderstelt
Hello! My name is Stephanie Vanderstelt and I am from Troy, Michigan. Next year I will be living in Colorado-Thompson Suite on the
third floor in Robertson Hall. I am a pre-med student and am majoring in biochemistry with chemical biology. I hope to one day become a
pediatric oncologist. In my free time I am generally reading, watching movies, or just hanging out! I love exploring new places, trying new
things, animals, and volunteering.
My first year at Cottey was incredible and I am so excited for next year! Before coming I was very nervous about meeting my roommate,
leaving my family, and the classes. However, my roommate and I were instantly friends, I gained another family, and the classes were
amazing! I cannot wait to meet the incoming class of 2011! If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at
stephvanderstelt@yahoo.com. I will answer as soon as I can!

Suite Chairs
Your suite chair is a member of your suite, usually a second-year student, who has been elected by your suite to volunteer to coordinate activities and serve as a communication link between the campus community and the suite. She conducts suite meetings, shares information with the suite, and works with suitemates to delegate and coordinates suite responsibilities.
Suite chairs will be elected at the start of the 2009-2010 academic year.
