A Defining Moment: the campaign for Cottey College

Barbara AndesIt's never been in my nature to be an observer. I tend to get actively involved in causes that are important to me. And for the last 40 years, through my involvement in the P.E.O. Sisterhood and as an ex officio member of the Cottey College Board of Trustees, the most important thing to me has been supporting educational opportunities for women.

For this reason, I enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to serve as chairman for A Defining Moment: The Campaign for Cottey College.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood, as well as friends and alumnae of Cottey College, have always been extremely generous in helping sustain Cottey. But this campaign is about more than sustenance. A Defining Moment is about elevating Cottey College to a new level on its way to becoming a national model for women's education.

I believe in the mission of this wonderful college. I believe in the generations of young women who will emerge from Cottey as tomorrow's leaders. With generous support from all who share my enthusiasm and commitment, Cottey College will have the facilities, the people, and the programs to champion a better society through the women we educate.

Please be generous. Let this campaign be an opportunity for A Defining Moment for you.
