Cottey College invites the public to attend the opening-of-school picnic and concert featuring Abe Parker on Friday, August 24, at 5:15 p.m. in Raney Dining Room.
Imagine if John Mayer and Maroon 5 met up and went to Motown. That’s the sound of Abe Parker’s music. His heartfelt lyrics, blues guitar-based beats, and singable melodies create an original and infectious “bluerock” sound. The unique vocal tone, wild guitar lines, and clever chorus hooks of the Abe Parker live concert have proven the most memorable for fans and accelerating numbers of new listeners.
Tickets for the meal are $7 and are available at the door; the performance is free.
Raney Dining Room is in the lower level of Robertson Hall on the southeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri. Parking is available in the lot immediately south of Robertson which is accessible off of Tower Street.
