The Cottey College Department of Music will host an Instrumental Music Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, in the Auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. The performance is free and no tickets are required.
The concert will feature the Cottey College Wind Ensemble, with a guest performance by the Cottey College Chamber Singers. Selections include “Noble Gestures” by Gary Gilroy, “After the Cake Walk” by Robert Nathaniel Dett, and “Embraceable You” by George and Ira Gershwin. The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Jackie Lordo and Prof. Gary Johnson. The Chamber Singers are under the direction of Prof. Theresa Spencer.
The Center for the Arts is located on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
