Coach Anthony Skiles
Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach / Track & Field Coach
Coach Anthony Skiles joined Cottey College in 2017 as the Comets’ head cross country coach. He previously created the Cross Country program at Sierra Nevada College after coaching at Albright College, University of West Florida, Archbishop Wood High School, and St. Hubert’s High School.
During his time at West Florida, he coached ten All-Gulf South Conference runners and five All-Southeast Regional performers. The squad won the Gulf South Conference in 2011 and 2012, qualifying for the NCAA Division II championships in both years.
As assistant track coach at Albright, Coach Skiles coached two NCAA Division 3 national qualifiers, one All-American, four Middle Atlantic Conference champions and four individual qualifiers for ECAC.
Skiles attended Wyomissing Area High School before graduating with a degree in history and political science from Kutztown University. He was a member of the Bloomsburg University Division II cross country team before transferring to Kutztown. Skiles, holds a USATF Level 1 coaching certificate and USATF Level 2 certificate in jumps.
